Artist's Statement

capture moments. The feeling of a place, a time, the way things were. When words fail or are not enough. Photography has been my medium, my pursuit and my companion since I purchased my first camera more than a decade ago. When images speak, we all listen.

This photo is a look at the places I’ve traveled and lived. A snippet into the passing of years captured in a single image. From Colorado to New York, this image represents a piece of myself that I’ve gratefully given to a place in time and a place in nature.

About the artist

Colleen Kelly is best known for her work in the wedding and editorial industries where she began her photographic pursuits in Boulder, Colorado. Working in publishing brought to light many aspects and technicalities of photography as an art and as a business.

Upon returning to her hometown of Olean, NY in 2017, Colleen has focused primarily on weddings and engagements as well as socially conscious and community building projects. Working to capture emotion above all else, Colleen strives to remain genuine and display authenticity in all of her photos regardless of the project discipline.

When not holding a camera, Colleen can be most often found in nature with her fiancé and her Corgis.
